Dr. David Lim was born in Seoul, South Korea. His family immigrated to Canada in 1986 and lived three years in Montreal, Quebec. He moved to Abbotsford, British Columbia in 1989 and attended Centennial Park Elementary, W.J. Mouat Secondary, and graduated from Abbotsford Senior Secondary in 1997. He received a Bachelor’s and Master’s degree in Kinesiology at Simon Fraser University. He obtained his Dental degree from U.B.C. in 2007.
Dr. Jinny Jiyeon Kim was born in South Korea and immigrated to Vancouver, B.C. when she was 12 years old. She graduated from the University of British Columbia (UBC) in 2013 where she obtained both her Bachelor of Sciences as well as her Doctorate of Dental Medicine degrees (DMD).
Dr. Kim loves all aspects of dentistry and has committed her career to helping people achieve their dental health by giving them the most comprehensive and advanced dental care. She strongly believes in the importance of providing all the necessary options to patients so they can make informed decisions regarding their oral health. Dr. Kim also gladly takes opportunities to give back her time and dental services to people in need of oral health care. In 2016 She joined a team of medical professionals on a mission trip to help Peruvians with oral care services.
Since Dr. Kim began practicing dentistry, she has always made continuing education a priority and strives to be knowledgeable with the latest dental standards, technology and techniques. When not practicing dentistry, she enjoys reading books, making natural soaps, and spending quality time with her family and dog.
Dr. Lim is a firm believer in giving back to the community. From 2007-2010 he regularly volunteered at the Vancouver East Side Dental Clinic and at the Bella Bella Reserve Dental Clinic. From 2010-2012 and 2018-2021 Dr. Lim served as a Director at the B.C. Dental Association. Dr. Lim is on the Organizing Group for the Pacific Dental Conference, which organizes a yearly dental conference in Vancouver with over 14,000 attendees. One of his duties involves scouting for speakers all across North America that would benefit the local dental practices. He is also actively involved with the young adult ministry at his church. He can also be seen playing drums every week on the praise team. Dr. Lim is truly excited about serving and giving back to the community where he grew up!
As a dentist in Abbotsford, Dr. Lim strives to continually improve his clinical skills and expand his dental knowledge by taking continuing education courses and being involved in numerous study clubs.
